Panaji
Became the capital of Goa in 1843 and is the smallest state capital of India Many parts still retain Portuguese heritage with narrow winding street, whitewashed churches, and numerous cafes and bars.

Margao
The main town of south Goa, is the centre for many transport links. The opening of the Konkan railway, this town has the main railway and bus terminus in south Goa

Ponda
Due to the close proximity of the iron ore mines, small factories have been set up here, leading to industrial estates springing up around the outskirts. The town is famous for the 16th century Muslim monument Safa masjid.

Mapusa
Every Friday people come here to the weekly bazaars. Anything and everything can be bought at this famous market.

Vasco-Da-Gama
